Helen Clouse, age 95, of Washington, passed away Monday at Hillside Manor Nursing Home. Born July 18, 1912 in Fall River, Massachusetts she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Laukaitis) Burke. She was a member of St. Simon Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a waitress in Washington for over 50 years. Surviving is one son and daughter-in-law, George and Naomi Clouse, Jr. of Washington; one sister Betty Prato of Richmond, VA; two grandchildren, Jeff Clouse and wife Kelly and Yvonne Aldridge and husband Jeff of Washington; granddaughter-in-law, Betsy Clouse of Washington; and great-grandchildren, Jarit Clouse and wife Jenna, Ericka Clouse, Corie Clouse, Connor Clouse, Aubrey Aldridge, and Amanda Aldridge all of Washington. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Clouse, Sr. whom she married July 16, 1933 and he died November 6, 1965. Also deceased is one grandson, Randy Clouse; two brothers, John and Joseph Burke; and one sister, Ann DeNoble. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Simon Catholic Church with Father William Traylor as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
