Harold Dean
Tolliver
June 25, 1944 – February 3, 2022
Dean Tolliver, 77, passed away while at the Daviess Community Hospital on February 3, 2022. He was born in Washington to Harold F. and Mary (Wilson) Tolliver, June 25, 1944.
Dean was a 1965 graduate of Washington High School and was retired from Rail Car where he was a welder. He served honorably in the United States Army and was a Viet Nam veteran. Dean was an IU basketball fan and an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting. Dean was a member of the Washington VFW and American Legion, and was a past member of the Washington Moose Lodge.
Those who now cherish Dean's memory include his children: Ritchie Dean (Heather) Tolliver; Mistie Rose (Dustin) Nathan; and Christie Lynn Tolliver all of Washington, and Robert Lee Foster of St. Louis, Missouri. Dean was blessed with several grandchildren: Breighton (Chantel) Tolliver; Chayce Tolliver; Braxton Nathan; Zayne Tolliver; Tyson (Cheyenne) Spaulding; Shaylynn Nathan; Daryn Tolliver; Liam Robinson; Jaxson Nathan; Brianna (Tyler) Renner; Hailee (Adriann) Prather; and Payton Foster. There are seven great-grandchildren. He also leaves a sister, Carol Flater of Bloomington.
During his lifetime, Dean knew the heartache of loss: his parents, Harold F. and Mary Tolliver; sisters: Marilyn Kay Seidel and Joyce Harker.
Visitation will be 11:00 am-1:00 pm, Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, North Chapel, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana.
Funeral services for Dean Tolliver will immediate follow the visitation, beginning at 1:00 pm, also at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, North Chapel. Pastor Byron Holtsclaw will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by the Washington American Legion and VFW.
Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
