Glen E. Yoder, age 78, of Cannelburg passed away at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday at Loogootee Nursing Center. Born May 5, 1932 in Nappanee, he was the son of Eli and Drucilla (Gerber) Yoder. He was a member of Harvest Community Church. Surviving are five sons and daughter-in-laws, Wayne & Martha Yoder of Cannelburg, Joas and Candace Yoder of Hayward, WI, Nathaniel and Lynette Yoder of Loogootee, Jerry and Trisha Yoder of Fayetteville, WV, and Everett Yoder of Indianapolis and Martha Yoder of Mentone; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rose and Ervin Kennell of Delta, CO, Martha and Terry Schitter of Loogootee, and Beth and Russell Pierce of Washington; five brothers, Lyle (Helen) Yoder of Indianapolis, Eli (Jane) Yoder Jr. of Michigan, Howard (Nichole) Yoder of FL, Ray (LeAnn) Yoder of Loogootee, and Fred (Annie) Yoder of PA; five sisters, Mae (Amzie) Yoder of Nappanee, Tressie Slabaugh of FL, Inez (Harley) Yoder of PA, Esther (Ken) Bush of FL, and Martha (Mervin) Graber of Washington; 36 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. His wife, Clara Elizabeth (Yoder) Yoder, whom he married April 8, 1954, passed away January 23, 2008. One son, Jonathan Yoder and a brother, Lester Yoder are also deceased. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Berea Mennonite Church with Maury Brenneman officiating. Burial will follow in Goodwill Cemetery in Loogootee. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Berea Mennonite Church. Online condolences may be sent to www.edleemortuary.com
