Gary D. Smith, 78, passed away during the afternoon of October 9, 2024. He was born September 29, 1946, the son of Ernest and Mary Belle (Buckley) Smith.

Gary was a 1967 graduate of Washington High School. He was a farmer. Gary collected model trains and model cars. He was a past member of the 20th Century Chevy Car Club.

Gary is survived by his companion, Nancy Smith of Washington and her children and grandchildren; a brother, Darrell Smith of Henderson, Nevada; and two nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mary Belle Smith.

Graveside services for Gary Smith will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, October 14, 2024, at the New Veale Creek Cemetery in Washington. Pastor Brad Rainey will officiate.
