Gary L. Boxley, age 49, of Washington, passed away at 12:32 p.m. on Saturday at Daviess Community Hospital.

He was born on October 7, 1968 in Washington, to Terry and Patricia (Gregory) Boxley.  He graduated from Washington High School in 1989 and had attended Oakland City University. He loved motorcycles and enjoyed working on cars.

Gary is survived by his mother, Patricia Canary  of Washington; two sons, Ryan Purdue and Quentin Pilk both of Washington; two daughters, Rachael Gilley of Washington and Jennifer Purdue of Evansville; brother, Daniel Butler of Washington; two sisters, Lisa Bynum of Washington and Kelly Waggoner of Washington; seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Clara and Leroy Hudson, Irmal and Jack Boxley and John Gregory.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Burial will follow in New Veale Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Ed Lee Mortuary.
