Eva N. Thieme, age 63, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday at her residence. Born March 12, 1947 in Marston, Mo, she was the daughter of Elbert and Margaret Irene (Jennings) Ponder. She was a cook at Eastgate Manor Nursing Home. She is survived by four daughters, Teresa Hewitt, Debbie Long, Monica Turner, and Sherry Mumma all of Washington; two sisters, Emma Garrett of Gas City and Martha Taylor of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Angilique Long, Nethanual Long, and Tyler Long; a great-grandson, Nethanual Long Jr.; and two nephews, Scott Garrett of Jonesboro, and Brian Garrett of Wind Fall. She is preceded in death by two brothers, Jeff Ponder and Robert Ponder; and a brother-in-law, Dennis Garrett. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
