Erika G. Summers, age 85, passed away peacefully and painlessly in her sleep on June 6, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

She was born to Paul and Helene Koslowsky Siefert on May 12, 1934 in Halle un der Salle, Germany. She survived the fire bombings of 1942 and 1943. Also, the starvation relief provided by the Berlin Airlift of 1948. She escaped Russian Communist occupation to West Germany before the Berlin Wall was constructed. She was married to George Summers on April 7, 1970 and he survives.

She was a naturalized citizen, a successful wife, homemaker, gardener, animal and nature lover and handicraft artist.

Her brother Paul and two sisters Karin and Renata and they were dislocated and unaware if they survive.

Funeral Services will be 2:00pm Saturday June 8, 2019 at Ed Lee Mortuary Downtown Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday June 8, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm also at Ed Lee Mortuary Downtown Chapel.
