Elizabeth "Betty" (Padgett) Potts, 92, passed away during the early morning hours of August 26, 2024. She was born in Washington on September 16, 1931, to Bernard and Pauline (Wonder) Padgett. She was married to Robert G. Potts and he preceded her in death in 1980.
Betty attended Washington Catholic High School and went on to enjoy her life as a homemaker. She especially loved spending time with family and going out to favorite restaurants.
Those who now mourn Betty's passing include her daughter, Anna P. Potts of Evansville; grandchildren: Jordan Thomas Potts, Joseph Robert (Jaclyn) Potts, Ashley, Lauren Faith Potts; and great-grandson, Brooks Anthony Potts.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Pauline Padgett; her husband, Robert Potts; son, Joseph Potts; niece, Elizabeth "Diane" McKinley; sister, Mary Frances Padgett; and brother, Bernard Padgett.
Visitation for Betty Potts will be 4:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at the Ed L. Lee Mortuary, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington, Indiana.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Betty Potts will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 315 NE 3rd Street, Washington, Indiana. Father Paul Ferguson will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery.
