Eleanor (Baumert) Smith, 91, of Olney, Illinois, passed away Sunday October 12th, at 4:55 p.m. at Burgin Manor in Olney, Illinois. Born March 10, 1923 in Daviess County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Andrew and Lillie M. (Wathen) Baumert. She attended Washington Schools and Plainville High School. She is survived by her children, Clarence E. (Julia) Smith of Olney, Illinois, William Edward (Dale) Smith of Olney, Illinois, Nancy A. Troxel of Brazil, Indiana, Patricia A. Richardson of Olney, Illinois, and Judy (Ken) Littlejohn of Montgomery, Illinois; 6 Grandchildren, Michelle Swanson, Lori Allen, Stacey Smith, Nathan Richardson, Travis Pruitt and Tanner Pruitt; 2 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Junior Smith on February 24, 1993, whom she married on July 1, 1941; and 11 brothers and sisters. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday October 15th at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Washington, Indiana with Father Gordon Mann as Celebrant. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Washington In. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Ed Lee Mortuary in Washington. Ed Lee Mortuary handled the arrangements.
