Elaine E. Campton age 79 of Washington passed away at 3;35 PM on Monday at the home of her daughter. She was born on February 18,1927 in Jasper to the late Robert and Matilda (Brockman) Schlachter. She was a 1945 graduate of Jasper High Schoool. She was a Member of St. Simon Catholic Church. Surviving is 3 daughters; Cynthia L. Wichman, Jilaine P. Doerner both of Washington, and Chandra Hobson of Evansville, one Son; Douglas J. Campton of Washington, 10 Grandchildren, and one sister; Janice Holland of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by one grandson; Ryan K. Welp, one grand daughter Grace C. Hobson, and one brother Othmer Schlacter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at St. Simon Catholic Church with burial in Sugarland Memory Gardens. There will be no visitation.
