Edward Ed' Smith, age 83, of Odon passed away Friday at 9:40 a.m. at Washington Nursing Center. He was born July 28, 1928 in Bedford to Edward and Sinah Smith. He graduated from Bedford High School and was a member of Washington YMCA. He was a retired US Air Force veteran of World War II, Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was also retired from NSWC Crane. He loved to go to yard sales, actions, and out to eat. He is survived by his wife, Patty (Poe) Smith; one daughter and son in-law, Lisa and Denny Smith of Odon; one son, Stephen Smith of Maysville; two granddaughters, Kamilah Smith of Washington, and Heather Smith of Odon; and one great granddaughter, Magan Pate, of Mission, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Sugarland Memory Gardens with Rev. James Payton officiating. Burial will follow with graveside rites by the Washington American Legion and VFW.
