Doris Veronica Wilson, 83, died at 3:05 a.m. Wednesday at Washington Nursing Center. She was born May 18, 1922, in Washington, to the late Leonard and Mary (Dant) Grannan. She was a member of St. Simon Catholic Church. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law; Barbara Jean and Peter Riester and Mary Doris and Robert Harder, both of Michigan City, and Patricia Ann and Randy Riedy of Indianapolis; three sisters, Laverne Grannan and Mary Ruth Massie both of Washington, and Theresa Woodruff, Peru, one brother, William Grannan, Louisville, Ky, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Harold "Hack" Wilson, whom she married June 5, 1946, died November 9, 2005. Six brothers Norwood, Dennis, Robert, Carl, John, and Howard Grannan are deceased. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Simon Catholic Church, with Father Gordon Mann as the celebrant. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m.to 8 p.m. on Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with a wake service at 4 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Catholic Education Endowment Fund.
