Donald E. McCrary, 78, passed away at his Washington residence on July 14, 2021, at 8:25 am. Donald was born March 15, 1943, in Washington to H. Louise (Rodgers) and Donald E. McCrary, Sr. He was married to Patty (Emmons) McCrary and she survives.

Donald was retired from the Street Department for the City Of Washington. He loved fishing, hunting, and mushroom hunting. He was an avid gardener.

Those who now cherish Donald's memory include: his wife, Patty; children, Donald McCrary III of Washington, Terry McCrary of Shoals, and Kim Gray of Odon. He was richly blessed with six grandchildren: Seth, Logan, Jeremy, Shyann, Brittney, and Donyell, along with several great-grandchildren. Donald also had three sisters: Linda Johnson of Odon, Donna McCrary in Florida, and Barbara McCrary of Brookville.

During his life, Donald mourned the loss of his parents, H. Louise McCrary Fields and Donald E. McCrary, Sr., and his step-father, Leroy Fields.

Visitation is planned for Tuesday, July 20, 2021, 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the Ed Lee Mortuary, North Chapel, 620 East Viola Avenue, Washington. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 1:00 pm with Yvonne Evans officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery.
