Donald J. Kane, age 64,of Mitchell, went home to be with the Lord at 9:12 AM on Tuesday at Dunn Hospital in Bedford. He was born on July 29, 1946 in Beech Grove to Joseph M. and Anna F. (Padgett) Kane. He was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He loved the outdoors and was a avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Fran (Kincaid) Kane whom he married on January 7, 1977; one sister and brother in-law, Dorothy "Dottie' and Lawrence Colvin of Washington; his best friend, Brian Pipes of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Frank Kane; and two nephews, Joe Sizemore and John Sizemore. A graveside will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Clark Cemetery rural Mitchell. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Friday and from 9 to 11 AM on Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary in Washington.
