Richard J. 'Dick' Eskew, age 57, of Washington, passed away at 3:55 PM on Tuesday at Daviess Community Hospital. He was born on October 29, 1951 in Washington to William M. and Grace (Ross) Eskew. He was a 1969 graduate of Washington High School, was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, and was a Member of the Washington Eagles Lodge. He is survived by one daughter, Carrie Alford of Washington; two sons Derek Eskew of Washington and Jason Barnett of Bicknell; his mother, Grace Eskew of Washington; two sisters, Marsha Dyer and Sandra Helshelman both of Plainville; one brother, David Eskew of Washington; and six grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, William Eskew. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Pastor Chris Coney officiating. .Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with Military graveside rites by the Washington American Legion and VFW.
