Robinson
December 10, 1960 – September 24, 2025
With his family by his side, David Robinson, 64, passed away in the comfort of his Washington residence during the afternoon of September 24, 2025. He was born in Washington on December 10, 1960, the son of Richard and Phyllis (Trowbridge) Robinson. On April 27, 1980, he married Susan (Chestnut) Robinson. For the next forty-five years, David and Susan created a loving home for themselves and their children.
David was a 1979 graduate of Washington High School. He worked at Hoover Precision Steel Ball Company until they closed in 2001. He later worked for the City of Washington Wastewater Department until 2007. A true outdoorsman, David worked throughout his life as farmhand for many local farmers; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and farming. David was a NASCAR enthusiast, and was an avid fan of #24, Jeff Gordon. Known to be a devoted family man, David was happiest when he was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Those who now cherish their memories of David include his wife, Susan Robinson; his children: Mason (Angie) Robinson, Jason (Amber Earles) Robinson, Alisha (Patrick) Riker, and James (Brianna) Robinson. David was blessed with nine grandchildren: Sydney Dunbar, Payton Robinson, Gracy Robinson, Lydia Earles, Corbin Earles, Gwen Riker, Grady Riker, Marleigh Robinson and Easton Robinson. He leaves four siblings: Joyce Einikis, Richard (Sandy) Robinson, Jr., Janet (Alan) Chestnut and Jean (Bentley) Rider; as well as several nieces and nephews. Additionally, David leaves brothers-in-law, Phil (Laverne Pierson) Chestnut, Gary (Angie Dillon) Chestnut and Richard (Linda) Chestnut.
During his lifetime, David mourned the passing of his parents, Richard and Phyllis Robinson; brother, Roger Robinson; sisters-in-law, Kathy Robinson and Gayle Chestnut; and brother-in-law, Alex Einikis.
