March 12, 1962 – January 17, 2024
David Jobe, 61, passed away at his Washington residence during the early morning hours of January 17, 2024. He was born in Evansville on March 12, 1962, to Charles David and Ada (Seals) Jobe. On November 8, 1991, he married Elizabeth Lee Spaulding and they created a loving home for themselves and their sons for the next thirty-two years.
After twenty-three years, David retired from Local 561 Laborers Union where he worked in major construction project. In retirement, he enjoyed a part-time job at Bomgaars. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid arrowhead and mushroom hunter. David loved spending time with his family.
Those who now mourn David's passing include his wife, Elizabeth Lee Jobe; children: Shawn (Kristin) McGuire of Washington; Damien McGuire of Washington; Josh (Amber) Jobe in Kentucky; and David Jobe of Washington. David was blessed with seven grandchildren: Denae; Devyn; Kiarra; Halle; Ashton; Addison; Nathaniel; and three great-grandchildren: Henleigh; Huntley; and Haisley. He leaves a brother, Robert Mayne in Pennsylvania; aunts and uncles: Phillip (Sharon) Seals and Chester (Carol) Seals all of Vincennes.
David was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Ada and George Mayne; and father and stepmother, Charles and Elsie Jobe; as well as a sister, Angela Wynn.
The family is planning services at a later date.
