Daniel E. Foster, age 65, of Washington, passed away Thursday Afternoon at his residence . He was born on December 3, 1947 in Montgomery to Virgil and Mary (Yates) Foster. He graduated from Alfordville High School in 1965. He worked Hoover Sperier Ball for several years and Jasper Engines and was a Jailer at Davies County Security Center for s short time. He retired in 2009 from Maysville Enterprise. He loved and fishing and stock car racing. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Wanda (Holz) Foster whom he married on July 5, 1969, one daughter and son in-law, Melissa S. and Dave Hooton of Washington; one brother, Frank Foster of Loogootee; and 3 grandchildren, Adam Hooten, Matt Hooten, Lily Hooten all of Washington. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Gail (Edwards) Foster whom he married in February of 1965, on October 21, 1968. He is also preceded in death by one son, Danny Lee Foster, one daughter, Rebecca Anne Foster; his parents Virgil and Mary (Yates) Foster; one sister, Annavieve Foster, one brother, Duane Foster. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Tuesday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in East Union Cemetery.
