Dale Edward Ashby, age 75, of Washington passed away at 12:35 PM on Friday, October 10, 2014, at Northwood Good Samaritan center in Jasper. He was born on November 16, 1938 in Daviess County to Cecil and Geneva (May) Ashby. He attended Montgomery High School and was a member of the Washington Eagles and VFW. He was retired from Mc Cord Cooperation and Robinson Grain. He loved to go fishing. He is survived by one daughter, Regina ( Tom) Kahle of Huntingburg; two grandchildren, Eric Waltz of Bedford and Hilary Fleck of Bloomington; one sister, Norma Scott of Montgomery, Alabama; one brother, Larry Ashby of Evansville; and a special friend, Carol Purdue of Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Darrell Ashby; and one sister, Shirley Morris. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4 to 8 PM at Ed Lee Mortuary.
