Colleen B. Burris, 88, passed away at Hillside Manor Nursing Home in Washington on October 20, 2017 at 9:20 p.m.  She was born in Washington on March 19, 1928 to Gus and Lillian (Brewer) Jerger.
She was a wonderful homemaker who took enormous pride in keeping a neat, clean house and she loved spending time with family.
She is survived by three daughters, Karen (Morris) Petty of Washington, Jane (Jim) Arthur of Seymour and Barbara Petty of Washington; six grandchildren, Troy Arthur, Tammy (Phil)) Norton, Judy (David) Bledsoe, Julie (Troy) Stuart, Laurie (JR) Crew, Lana (Pat) Beck; fourteen great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde "Dickie" Burris on January 18, 2014, whom she married June 29, 1960; daughter, Judith Gail Klem; two sisters, Wilma Jean Greenwell and Betty Doyle; brother, Richard Jerger and grandson, little Jimmy Arthur.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM on Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
