Clara M. Mattingly, age 78, of Washington, passed away at Golden Living Center in Petersburg on August 31, 2015 at 4:03 pm. She was born July 24, 1937 to Hilda Collignon in Jasper. She graduated from Jasper High School in 1955. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church and D of I. She enjoyed hummingbirds. Clara is survived by one son, Scott (Annette) Mattingly of Washington and one grandchild, Matthew Mattingly of Washington, two step grandchildren; Zach Williams of Bloomington and Jonathon Williams of Vincennes. She was preceded in death by her mother, husband, J. Robert "Bob" Mattingly whom she married October 6, 1960, passed away April 21, 2015. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 - 8 pm at Ed Lee Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, 208 S.
