Charlotte J. Rogers, 80, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of quiet love and cherished memories.
Charlotte was born on December 19, 1945, in Brooks, Kentucky. She was lovingly adopted and raised by her parents, Eula (Hultz) Cozine and Sydney Cozine, whose love and guidance helped shape the kind and gentle woman she became. She graduated from high school and later married the love of her life, John Rogers.
Charlotte was a quiet soul whose gentle nature spoke volumes. Though she never sought the spotlight, she was deeply loved by those fortunate enough to know her. She found happiness in casting a fishing line on a peaceful day, camping beneath the stars, birdwatching, working crossword puzzles, and, above all, spending time with her family. Every moment shared with those she loved was one she treasured.
She attended Bethel South Church and held her faith quietly in her heart. She lived a life marked by kindness, compassion, and a genuine love for others.
Those left to cherish Charlotte's memory include her loving children, Melissa Freeman (Michelle Harper), Rebecca (David) Frye, and John Rogers Jr.; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many dear friends who will remember her with love and affection.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Rogers, and by her parents, Eula and Sydney Cozine.
Charlotte's quiet strength, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her and peace to all who hold her close in their hearts.
Visitation for Charlotte will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Ed L. Lee Mortuary. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Tony Franklin officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
