Charles "Chuck" R. Hazelton age 85 passed away at 6:45 AM Tuesday at Eastgate Manor Nursing Home. Born July 24, 1922 in Pike County, he was the son of the late Charles Harvey and Dora Myrtle (Helderman) Hazelton. He had moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1958 and worked as a refrigeration and air-conditioning repairman. He is survived by one daughter, Charlene Neal of Seattle, WA; two sons, Charles "Sonny" Hazelton and David Hazelton both of Phoenix, AZ.; one sister, Dorothy Masters of Eaton Rapids, Mich.; and several grandchildren. Preceding him in death is his first wife, Ruth (Knowles) Hazelton who passed away in 1994 and his second wife, Edith (Murphy) Hazelton who passed away June 2, 2007. Two sons, Jerry and Michael Hazelton; four brothers, Baxter, Clifford, Gene, and Clyde Hazelton; and four sisters, Agnes Rout, Hester Hazelton, Sylvia Hayes, and Frances Hazelton are also deceased. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Sugarland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Ed Lee Mortuary. Online condolences may be sent to wwwedleemortuary.com.
