Charles "Charlie" Clyde Brown Jr. age 65 of Washington passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at his residence.
Charlie was born on April 5, 1955 in Washington to Barbara Jean (Emmons) and Charles Clyde Brown Sr. He was an U.S. Air Force Veteran while serving in the Air Force he was an aircraft electronic systems specialist. He retired from Crane after 35 years of service. Charlie was a member of Loogootee American Legion and he loved to go deer hunting and loved showing off his 1951, 5 window Chevy pick-up truck and driving it around town. He also participated in the 21st Century Chevy Cruz in.
Charlie is survived by his daughter Ashley Thrasher of Washington; brother Clifford (Vicki) Brown of Loogootee; three sisters Diana (John) Fegan, Becky (Rick) Bauer and Peggy (Gerry) Mattingly all of Loogootee; four grandchildren Eric "Matthew" Holland Jr., Kameron Holland, Briley Thrasher, Charlie Thrasher and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Darlene L. Brown who he married July 4, 1996 and passed away on March 1, 2014 and his parents.
Funeral service will be Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Ed Lee Mortuary North Chapel at 2:00 pm with Pastor Alford Helms. Visitation is same day from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Military Graveside Rites will follow at St. John Cemetery.
