Charles (Chuck) Edwards Bottoms, of Washington passed away at the age of 74 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, Indiana on Sunday, May12, 2012 Chuck worked for Gwaltney Drilling until his illness in October 1997. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He belonged to the Washington American Legion and Moose Lodge. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Irene Bottoms and his sister Hattie Downey. Chuck is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Jane (Mangin)Bottoms ; children ,Jason (Deana) Bottoms of Vincennes and Laura (Eric) Watkins of Terre Haute ; his dearly loved grandchildren, Ryan Bottoms and Riley Bottoms, San Hoiseth; Cameron Watkins and Gracie Jane Watkins; brothers, Ken (Bonnie) Bottoms; Jerry Bottoms of Monroe City, Indiana; and sisters, Betty (Burel ) Hochins of Bedford, Indiana, and Peg (Larry )Morton of Petersburg, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery with Military graveside rites by the Washington American Legion and the V.F.W. Visitation is on Wednesday evening from 4:OOP.M. to 8:00P.M. at the mortuary.
