Obituary

Carol "Jane" Roach, age 64, of Washington, passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Daviess Community Hospital.


She was born in Washington on July 5, 1954 to Royce R. and Lillian (Fitzgerald) Gray. She had worked as a beautician for several years and loved going to watch her children and grandchildren's sporting events and loved her little dog, Gussie. She was an amazing, loving and caring wife and mother, who did everything for her family. She was so full of life and positive energy. She could light up the room with her smile. There was never a dull moment with her around. She will be loved and missed by so many.


She is survived by her husband, John Roach who she married on November 3, 1973; daughter, Justina Walls of Washington; three sons, Jason (Amanda) Roach of Evansville and Jarod (Lindsey) Roach of Washington and Jeremy Roach of Washington; sister, Sue Taylor of Washington; two brothers, Joe Gray of Loogootee and Steve Gray of Washington; six grandchildren, Kerstin Burks, Jadalynn Wininger, Ethan Roach, Jena Roach, Jaddison Walls and Blakely Roach.


She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Pauline Fisher; brother, Paul "Sonny" Gray.


A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Fr Paul Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at St John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary Downtown Chapel.
