Carol A. Cabel, age 79, of Washington, passed away at 8:55 PM on Monday at her residence. She was born ON October 17, 1932 in Bedford to Carl V. and Eloise C. (Lythgoe) Gates. She was a member of Daviess Community Hospital Auxiliary and had been a waitress in several area restaurants. She is survived by one daughter, Debbie McKibben of Washington; one granddaughter, Leslie McKibben of Tomball, Texas; one sister Martha Smith of Washington; three step grandchildren; on four step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene "Doc' Cabel, whom she had married on October 4, 1964, on October 1, 1992. She is also preceded death by one son, Paul J. Brunner; and two sisters, Pauline Traver and Patricia Smith. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 PM till the hour of services at Ed Lee Mortuary.
