Obituary

Camilla Jane'' Padgett, age 77 of Washington, passed away at 8:58 PM on Monday at Daviess Community Hospital. She was born on September 17, 1936 in Washington to Walter C. and Frances (Disser) Dennis. She was a 1953 graduate of Washington Catholic High School. She very much enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter and son in-law, Kimberly and Michael Burkhart of Plainville; two sons and daughters in-law, Robert E. Jr. and Pamela Padgett, and Roger E. and Mary Padgett all of Washington; nine grandchildren, Ryan (Krissy) Burkhart, Travis Burkhart, Evan Burkhart, Jenae Burkhart, Arec Padgett, Claudia Padgett, Malina Padgett, Sgt. Toby Phillips, and Lora Lewis; four sisters, Clara M. Burris Jones of Indianapolis, Mary C. Miley Wilson of Washington, Barbara A. Taylor of Indianapolis, and Anna M. Crouch of Plainfield; two brothers, John L. Dennis of Austin, Texas and Carl Joe Dennis of Indianapolis; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Padgett Sr. on February 23, 2001, whom she married on March 16, 1957. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one sister Agnes Louise Dennis; and one brother, James M. Dennis. Funeral services will 10 AM on Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
