Billie G. Mowery, 84, passed away on December 24, 2025, in Evansville, Indiana.
Billie was born on April 21, 1941, in Cannelton, Indiana, to Cecil Mowery, Sr. and Lillian (Chaney) Mowery.
He was a proud U.S. Army veteran and a dedicated tradesman, retiring as a Boilermaker from Local 374 after many years of hard work. Billie was also a longtime member of the Eagles in Washington, Indiana, where he enjoyed fellowship and friendship.
Above all else, Billie's greatest joy was his family--especially his grandchildren. He cherished time spent with them and greatly enjoyed playing Euchre, a favorite pastime that brought him much happiness.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Heldt and her husband Vaughn Heldt; his son, Mitch Mowery and his wife Barb Mowery; his nine beloved grandchildren; and his eight beloved great-grandchildren.
Billie was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Mowery, Sr. and Lillian Chaney; his brothers, Cecil Mowery, Jr. and Jack Mowery; his daughters, Minda Mowery and Tracy Huff; and his grandson, Justin Sears.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Billie will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, his strong work ethic, and the love he shared with those around him. He will be deeply missed.
