Betty L. McEvilly age 73 of Washington passed away on Tuesday at 7:50 AM at Washington Nursing Center. She was born on May 23,1933 in Leavenworth, Kansas to the late James and Allene D. (Gibbs) Hitchcock. She was a member of St. Simon Catholic Church, D of I , K of C Ladies Auxiliary, Pink Ladies at Daviess Community Hospital, and RSVP. Surviving is five daughters and sons in-law; Cynthia and Mark Eccles of Whiteland, In., Janet and Dave Worland of Fishers, Michele McEvilly of Franklin, Susan and Jim Kendall of Washington , and Mary and Pat Cassidy of Fishers; two sons Michael McEvilly of Washington, John McEvilly of Speedway; and eleven grandchildren. She married her husband Patrick McEvilly on August 5,1953 and he preceded her in death on January 31,1988. She was also preceded by her parents Allene and Jim Hitchcock and by one brother, William Barry. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00AM at St. Simon Catholic Church with Father Leo Kiesel as celebrant. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery.
