Betty Herres age 68 of Washington passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Daviess Community Hospital.

Betty was born on May 23, 1952 in Nelsonville, Ohio to Ruth (Johnson) Pancake and John Coakley. She worked as a CNA at Good Samaritan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Oakland City for many years and retired from American Nursing Care. She loved to collect unicorns and dolphin figurines.

Betty is survived by her husband Thomas Herres who she married September 2, 2002; three sons William Taylor of Oakland City, Kenneth Duke Jr. of Vincennes and Charles Duke of Lawrenceville, IL; daughter Jennifer Duke Enlow of Ragsdale, IN; two brothers John Newlun of Ohio and Howard Newlun of Columbus and three sisters Ruth Ann Cunningham of Nelsville, OH, Ethyl May Wright of Logan, Ohio and Wilma Kay Adams of Lancaster, OH; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter Delphina Duke Weathers.
