Betty L. Doyle, age 91, of Washington, passed away with her family by her side at 8:27 AM on Wednesday at Eastgate Manor Nursing Home. She was born on December 5, 1922 in Washington to Gus and Lillian (Brewer) Jerger. She graduated from Washington Catholic High School in 1941 and had worked for Peoples Bank for 43 years. She was a member of St. Simons Church, Ladies Guild, and the Daughters of Isabella. She had volunteered for the American Red Cross for several years. She is survived by one son Paul (Kaye) Doyle of Moss Point, Mississippi; five grandchildren, Michelle (Chris) Hayes and Leann Jones both of Washington, P.J. (Jennifer) Doyle of Spanish Fort, Alabama, Bethany (Rob) Vincent of Atlanta, Georgia, and Dana Martin of Jackson, Mississippi; one sister, Colleen Burris of Washington; and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Carl "Pat" Doyle on March 30, 2002 whom she had married on July 5, 1962. She also was preceded in death by one son Mike Mosby; one sister, Wilma Jean Greenwell; and one brother, Richard Jerger. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Yvonne Evans officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will from 10 AM till service time Saturday with a D of I rosary at 10 AM at Ed Lee Mortuary.
