Betty J. Dobbyn age 75 of Washington passed away at 7:16 PM on Monday at Daviess Community Hospital. She was born on May 30, 1931 in Huntington, W.V. the daughter of Basil and Dessie May (Ross) Miley. She was retired from Perdue Farms and had attended Washington Schools. She was a member of Senior and Family Services. Surviving is four sons, Darrell Alford, Jack Alford, and David Alford all of Washington, and Dennis Alford of Patoka; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one sister Edith Ann Smith of Evansville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Dobbyn in October of 1995; one son, Donald Alford; and one sister Mary Hill. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Rev. Bill Stotts officiating. Burial will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM TO 10:30 AM Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Memorial donations may be made to Senior and Family Services of Washington.
