Barbara A. Kane, age 83, of Washington, passed away at 12:38 AM on Tuesday at Hillside Manor Nursing Home. She was born on December 14, 1927 in Daviess County to Harry and Sallie (Lee) Strange. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. She was retired from Hook's Drug Store She is survived by three sons and daughters in-law, Charles and Marijo Kane of Washington, John and Mary Sue Kane of Greenwood, and Tom and Karen Kane of Montgomery; one sister Ginger Boyd of Indianapolis, two brothers, Bill Strange of Washington, and Bob Strange of Florida; 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren . She was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil Strange and Carol Strange. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Ryan Hilderbrand as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 wake service at 7:30 pm on Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
