Barbara Ruth Brown age 60, passed away July 1, 2014 in her home in La Follette, Tennessee . She was born on November 18, 1953 in Washington to Charles W. and Ruth (Weintraut) Brown. She was a graduate of Linton-Stockton High School and was retired from Crane as a Contract Specialist. She was an active member of the Catholic Church and was an avid gardener and basket weaver. She is survived by her mother, Ruth Brown of Washington; and one sister Brenda (Dean) Sobecki of Washington. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Father Gordon Mann as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Corning. Per Barbara request there will be no visitation.
