Anna Jean Zinkan, age 79, of Washington passed away at 9:43 a.m. Thursday at Daviess Community Hospital. Born December 23, 1931 in Vincennes, she was the daughter of Jake and Goldie (Gilbert) May. She graduated from Lincoln High School and Vincennes University. She retired from Crestview Nursing Home as a nurse and was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Surviving are her children, Debbie Zigler, Connie Thomas, and Greg Bezy all of Washington, and Beth (Steve) Grishaw of Loogootee; two sisters, Evelyn Markel of Wickliffe, Ohio and Faye Stockman of Seattle, Washington; three grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Jack May and Gilbert May are deceased. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon until hour of service at the mortuary.
