Obituary

Ambrose J. Doyle, age 84, of Montgomery, passed away at 9:00 AM on Saturday at Loogootee Nursing Center. He was born on October 6, 1929 in Corning to Michael L. and Mary (Grannan) Doyle. He was a 1947 graduate of Glendale High School and was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War were he served as a Master Supply Sargent. He was from NSWC at Crane. He was a life member of St. Patrick Catholic Church until it closed. While a member of ST. Patrick he was a Eucharistic minister. After the closing of St. Patrick Church, he became a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He is survived by two children Ann Marie Warren of Indianapolis and Thomas Lee Doyle of Montgomery; three grandchildren, Jason Christopher Warren of Evansville, Rachael Catherine Doyle of Washington, and Tiffany Janell Robinson of Washington; two great grandchildren, Conner Patrick Robinson, and Emily Nicole Robinson; and one sister, Beulah Gramelspacher of Jasper. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen L. Doyle on October 19, 2011, whom he married in 1952. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Margie Colvin. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father James Koressel. Burial will follow in Glenco Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Washington American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday at Ed Lee Mortuary with a parish rosary at 4:00 PM.
