Alice Gregory, age 87, of Huntingburg passed away at 10:50 a.m. Friday at her residence. Born July 2, 1920 in Washington, she was the daughter of Edward and Lillian (Summitt) Auberry. She is survived by six daughters and sons-in-law, Lillian and Donnie Halbert of Washington, Lola and William Russell of Montgomery, Becky Jenkins of Dale, Stella and Darrell Abbott of Lawrenceville, IL, Patsy and Jerry Whitsitt of Huntingburg and Helen and Billy Dixon of Otwell; one son, John B. Gregory of Huntingburg; two sisters, Kate Bourssa and Deloris Morse both of Missouri; one brother Bernard Auberry of Washington; 30 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and 2 step great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester Gregory, whom she married August 17, 1935 and he died May 20, 1980. Two brothers, Ralph and Bob Auberry and two sisters, Geraldine English and Barbara Ann Ramsey, as well as 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild are also deceased. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ed Lee Mortuary with Bro. George Fiscus officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
